Matador Ranch

Matador Ranch is one of the famous historic ranches in Texas. Owned by subsidiaries of Koch Industries, Inc. since 1953, its roots stretch back to 1882, when Matador Land and Cattle Company was formed by Scottish investors. On Oct. 3, 1952, Fred C. Koch, co-founder of what has become Koch Industries, Inc., formed Matador Cattle Company. In 1953, a company owned by Koch acquired three parcels of the Texas-based Matador Ranch, which was joined with other Koch-operated ranches in Montana and Kansas. 

As the company’s hunting operation has grown over the past two decades, customers have asked for Matador-branded items. We are pleased to be able to offer such items through our pro shop at El Matador, our hunting lodge, and via our online storefront as well.
